Settled into our room at the Marriott in Bettendorf, Iowa. TC (Tiny Clayton/Traveling Companion) was exhausted.
After a brief rest we went to dinner at the Machine Shed Restaurant in Davenport, Iowa -just a little way up the road. For us it was dinner. It’s a different time zone but we’re still on Ohio time.
TC whined until he got to sit on the pig and rooster at the entrance.
Food was very good. Certainly got your money’s worth. I had the traditional fried chicken (2 pieces) and mashed potatoes with veggies, chunky applesauce, cottage cheese, bread.
Spoke with a couple on their way to a celebration for a church’s 100 anniversary. He had been a pastor at the church early in his ministry.
Anxious for tomorrow’s adventure!!
